Why Kartik Purnima?

Kartik Purnima marks the end of the holy month of Kartik. During this time, people come together for Ganga Snan, prayer and Deepdaan.

On this full-moon night, devotees gather at the sacred Ganga for prayer, rituals and spiritual observances.

At Garhmukteshwar, where the Ganga meets Mukteshwar Mahadev, Kartik Purnima holds a special spiritual significance.
